Dr. Fleischli was born and raised in Springfield, Illinois. He attended Griffin High School where he was a two sport letterman and honor student. At Illinois State University, Dr. Fleischli participated in football and graduated in 1990 with a degree in Biology. While attending ISU he was a member of the athletic directors honor role. After completion of his undergraduate studies, Dr. Fleischli attended Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, IL. He graduated in 1994 with a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree, and then furthered his training with a two year surgical residency program at Midwestern Regional Medical Center in Zion, Illinois.
Dr. Fleischli's interest in research then brought him to San Antonio, TX, where he completed a Diabetic Foot Research Fellowship at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio-one of the premiere research facilities for diabetes related health complications in the country.
In 1997, Dr. Fleischli and his wife, Dr Laughlin, moved to Central Illinois and started their private practice in Jacksonville, IL. In 2001, Dr. Fleischli's younger brother, Jeff, joined Foot & Ankle Associates. Dr. Fleischli currently has offices in Jacksonville and Springfield, with satellite clinics in Pittsfield and Lincoln.
Dr. Fleischli has published extensively in the medical literature, and lectures at medical conferences nationally. Dr. Fleischli is board certified in foot surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery.
He has been certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery, and is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, The American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and the American Diabetes Association.

Dr. Laughlin is a native of Downers Grove, Illinois, and is the youngest of eight children. While in high school, Dr. Laughlin excelled in track and cross-country, earning All-American honors and receiving an athletic scholarship to The University of Texas at Austin. In addition to being a four-year varsity letter winner and a member of an NCAA National Championship team at UT, she also received a Bachelors degree in Biology with honors.
Following her undergraduate studies, Dr. Laughlin attended Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, graduating summa cum laude and salutatorian of her class in 1994. She then completed a three-year podiatric medicine and surgery residency at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, serving as chief resident of the Podiatry Service in 1996-97.
Dr. Laughlin and her husband, Dr. Fleischli, moved to central Illinois to begin their private practice in 1997. Dr. Laughlin has published extensively on a variety of topics and has lectured at numerous medical seminars. She currently serves on the newsletter and continuing medical education committees for the Illinois Podiatric Medical Association, and is a member of the American Diabetes Association, American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons and the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine.
In addition to her offices in Jacksonville and Springfield, Dr. Laughlin also sees patients at a satellite clinic in Havana, Illinois.
She has been certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery, and is a fellow member of the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons; is a diplomat of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery; and a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, the American Diabetes Association, and the American Association of Podiatric SportsMedicine.

Dr. Jeffrey W. Fleischli was born and raised in Springfield and attended Sacred Heart-Griffin High School. He has recently moved back to the area and has joined his brother and sister-in-law's practice (Dr. John Fleischli and Dr. Terese Laughlin). Dr. Fleischli has clinics in Springfield, Jacksonville, Rushville and Pittsfield.
While in high school, Dr. Fleischli was very active in athletics receiving three varsity letters in both basketball and football and was named all-city two times in each sport. After high school he finished his undergraduate education at Illinois State University earning a B. S. in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. Dr. Fleischli is a graduate of Dr. William M. Scholl college of Podiatric Medicine and completed two years of post-graduate training. His first year was an internship at Illinois Masonic Medical Center/Rush Medical School teaching hospital in Chicago, Illinois.
In 2001, he completed a year of extensive surgical training at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Dr. Fleischli is board qualified in foot surgery and specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of the foot and ankle. He also has a strong interest in diabetic foot care and research. Dr. Fleischli was awarded the prestigious 2001 William J. Stickel Award, the highest award given for research in podiatric medicine and surgery, for research that could lead to earlier detection of osteomyelitis among persons with diabetic foot infections. This research will hopefully allow physicians to accelerate treatment thereby reducing the necessity for limb amputation.
Dr. Fleischli is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and The American Diabetes Association.
